By KT from boston, ma on 11/12/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've used Asolo boots for the past ten years. They fit me better than any other boot. My last pair was regular width and were causing pain in my knees. I found out I am actually a 1E in width and ordered a wide pair. Presto, no more pain. I use these every day as a workboot for landscape construction. the rubber (band) was a selling point for me. Started stiff but feel great after a 3 day break in. The insert is a bit stiff in the toebox and toes ache a bit at the end of the day, but arch and heel support seem fine. I expect them to last as long as any other Asolo boot I've had over the years (soles wear out after a season on concrete surfaces)
Good shoes at a good price By Like to walk from Oakland, CA on 11/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these hiking around Molokai, and they worked out well. I'm glad I looked at reviewers' comments and didn't order bigger. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 and in hiking shoes would have ordered a 7.5. For these I ordered a 7 and they are perhaps a bit too roomy. But I think they will work out well.
By Seeking Adventure from South Carolina on 11/11/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Best I've tried, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm Cons: Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So far I have only had these boots for about two weeks. It is suggested to ween yourself into them, yet I jumped right in and had no serious issues other than getting used to a new pair of shoes. Great lacing system that stays where you put them, excellent ankle support but a little stiff right now overall, hopefully this will change as time continues on. Excellent choice when thought how long I researched boots.
Great Shoe...Good looking too. By Dad on the Go from Wichita, KS on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these to replace a similar and beloved pair of Vasque and am impressed. Nice everyday shoe. Had them a few weeks and have no complaints. They seemed very comfortable right out of the box. Not sure if they needed it or not, but I treated them with a leather protector just in case. I'm considering another pair of Asolo's if these are any indication.

I came down the face of a mountain in the adirondacks over slippery rocks, leaves and mud and did not slip. My feet did not hurt after a 14 mile hike unlike other boots I have worn in the past. Would highly recommend.
