By Mr. Deadline from Trenton, NJ on 08/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: High End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Worn this watch daily for more than a year, making trains and planes on three continents. It gains 15 seconds a week, runs down if not wound after 35 hours. Band stretches to fit comfortably after a couple of days, then stops. Watch doesn't.
Great watch at a terrific price By bigbully from Chicago, il on 04/22/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical, Value focused Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: At the price being offered this Gevril is a great bargain. This a man's watch, a little heavy, but I like that feel. The gray face and roman numerial hour display is very attractive. The only feature I wish were a little better would be a more solid band and not a linkage style--but this is just me being overly critical. I would definitely purchase this watch again.
"Great Buy for the money" By CG from Colorado on 04/08/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful watch that can be worn everyday.
Nice Watch, for little people. By Sparky from DFW, Texas on 03/29/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Stylish Cons: Watchband for pygmies Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice watch. Band is like not even close to being long enough. I am large framed, but most bands fit fine on thier largest settings. Not even close here. Buyer beware. I returned item.
Amazing watch at a superb value By Scubynubie from Colorado on 02/02/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality Best Uses: Everyday, Formal Describe Yourself: Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After researching automatic watches, I stumbled across this one, and I couldn't be happier. This watch has an ETA 2824 movenent that I wanted, so I know that it will be reliable. The quality of this watch is absolutely top notch. It took me a minute to wind it and get it set, then adjust the band, and it has worked perfectly since.
It's what's inside that counts By bmauers from Pittsburgh on 01/01/2008 Pros: Good Quality, no battery, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a lot of money for a watch to be sure. However, the very same 2824 movement can be found in watches costing 2-5 times as much. As the other reviewer stated, this is not a quartz watch: it's not as accurate, costs more, and will stop if not wound daily. So why would anybody want one? Because it was made by the hands of a master craftsman with enough skill to cram a hundred tiny parts into a small case and create an elegant, functional work of art.
By matt from va on 12/07/2007 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great watch. Great price.
Great watch for a great price. By The Watch Geek from Concord, CA on 12/07/2007 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Made by Gevril, this stylish watch is really a steal. The beautifully crafted 'stadium' case is unique and really stands out. The Swiss ETA 2836 can alway be depended on for accuracy and reliability. The luminescent properties of the watch are also top-notch. Snap it up if it's still available as this is limited to 500 pieces.
By docvp from West Texas on 11/10/2007 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Classic, High End Shopper, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent quality for the money. Looks very well made, fits well even on small wrists and the strap is easily adjusted at home(don't have to go to a jeweler!!). Would recommend it for weekend/athletic wear. Brought it specifically for a ski trip. THanks[...]
By Pistol Pete from Darien, CT on 09/07/2007 Pros: Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish, Very high quality Describe Yourself: High End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very, very high quality for the price. First Generation's are rapidly disappearing from the marketplace. By the way...description should be corrected...this is an automatic (self-winding) watch. The word "quartz" is misleading. While very accurate, it is NOT quartz accurate, and it is not a quartz watch as stated previously.
