Arc'Teryx

Founded in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1991, Arc’Teryx set about to change our assumptions about how outdoor products are made, and created a veritable revolution in gear and clothing design. The company started by raising the bar on climbing harness design, then proceeded to make radical improvements in packs and apparel. Among Arc’Teryx’s many award-winning innovations are Watertight™ Zippers, which repel unwanted drafts and moisture and soft shell laminates to lock out water. Today, Arc’Teryx continues to work feverishly - designing, crafting and thoroughly testing innovative gear and apparel for its loyal following of hard-core mountain athletes.

Comments:
I needed a red pullover, but what I received is more like a tomato soup-when-you-make-it-with milk-red. Also, the neck is kind of a dated short, crossover shawl collar, which I also do not think made it into the STP description. Still, it's super comfy and nicely styled to fit my small, short-waisted frame.

Comments:
I purchased this jacket for the shoulder season in Alaska (August-Sept, April-May) and found myself wearing throughout the entire winter. Admittedly, I bike to work in the snow- and can be found skiing at -20; this jacket keeps pace with the insanity. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. But only if you're an all-around athlete who enjoys being comfortable and warm even in the most bizarre weather. This jacket handles Pacific Northwest rain, South East AK sludge, Interior Alaska cold, and manages to breathe easily all the while.

Comments:
I was so excited to find this jacket at this price. It is a really great brand and model. But, alas, it is cut too slim/small overall. I typically am a size medium (8-10), but I would need at least a large in this. I could zip it up over my normal street clothes (incl. shirt, light sweater and light jacket, but just barely. There's no way the medium would have worked with a ski sweater on. Too bad. Really.
