By Mike from Baltimore, MD on 07/16/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life Best Uses: Close hobby-work emergen, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This headlamp is no-nonsense and multi-useful. Our family have several ready for occassional power outages. They are also great for working in closets or other confined areas. I wear mine frequently when doing close work with computer parts or other electrical devices. The price is right compared to other headlamps that take more expensive batteries when they burnout more frequently. The Cyclops is the king of the one-eyed men - or something like that.

By B-Dog from Loma Linda, CA on 07/06/2008 Cons: Low battery life, No Beam Adjustment Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great flashlight. Bright and lightweight. Just understand batteries get expensive for this flashlight and won't last you long. [$]for 2 1/2 hrs. Like it I debate bringing it when I know I'll get short life out of my batteries. Not good for camping much past overnight.

The halogen light is very useful, and the unit is only slightly heavy b/c the three batteries, I found
it managable still even for long distance hikes.

Recent night training proved its worth, even against other, larger lights. One LED is all it takes for clear, bright light. Distance night vision is excellent. Illuminates a large area well.
By veronique559 from Fresno, CA on 06/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a really good headlamp that I could use in the wilderness. The light on this one was much too dim though. It is a good price and good enough for a camping trip or goofing around though. It is just as bright as a regular flashlight.
