By NJ camper from Whitehouse Station, NJ on 05/20/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this for camping trips. However, it is not very bright at all. The more expensive branded ones are much brighter than this one. It is functional and economical, but way too dim.

Not too bad for the price By JHM Outdoor Guy from Pine, Colorado on 05/14/2008 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not a bad little headlamp for the money. Doesn't seem as bright as the more expensive brands, but all in all will work well for most uses in the dark. Also not as rugged as others (of which I have a couple higher end ones), but better than the real cheapies. I haven't as yet tested battery life.
Bought as a joke - ended up needing it! By Rookie from Sacramento CA on 05/13/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was advised to buy this for middle of the night trips to the bathroom/outhouse/bush. Ended up getting stuck in the tent for hours because of storms. Used it to read a book. You get light where you are looking and your hands are free. Has krypton and LED lights which is nice being able to switch between the two.
By Elkscat from Silver Spring, MD on 05/13/2008 Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: A Bit heavy & bulky for the beam. Both beams about the same brightness and they cannot be used together. 3 LEDs are either all on or all off.
By The head from Hudson valley NY on 05/11/2008 Pros: Durable, Long battery life Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have owned this light for about eight years and it is still working. One of the three led bulbs went bad, no other problems. I generally use it fishing at night and finding my way to and from my tree stand. Good price for a good light.
By I luv STP from wisconsin on 05/08/2008 Cons: Bulky, cheap switches Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought three of these with the intention of giving one as a gift. Poor quality. One had an LED that did not light up, and another had a defective switch. I am returning all three. Bulky. Usually STP carries good quality merchandise. Not this time.
