By OldFart from SLC, Ut on 02/24/2009 Pros: Great Construction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are a great touring ski. I have skied them extensively this year in Ut & Can in all backcountry conditions - powder, windslab, somewhat breakable, damp, etc. The weight is a key factor when walking on long tours.

Great for Backcountry Adventures By Jon from Boston, MA on 02/04/2009 Best Uses: Downhill, Telemarking Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I didn't buy these here, but they are great skis. Light but still sturdy enough to punch through typical mixed conditions you get in backcountry.
No wipeout with White Outs By ski dreamer from LA,CA on 01/30/2009 Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just back from skiing the Colorado Front range. first time on my newly purchased Whiteouts; have skied on Atomic all around skis for the past 10 years. The White outs are worthy heirs to the throne. Quick turning in bumps and steep chutes, very stable at fast downhill skiing (178cm), handled fresh pow of Vail's backbowls nicely, ate up chunky snow and soft snow bumps at all speeds, precisely held in steep bowls. Didn't encounter ice, but carved well on scratchy surfaces (when encountered).Very enjoyable ski that enhances the experience.
Shaft is great, grips are subpar By Sconnie Skier from Madison, WI on 01/29/2009 Pros: Good Precision, Good Stiffness, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Shaft is relatively stiff and strong, but the grips wear out fairly quickly and the top of one grip actually cracked off when I was climbing a pretty small hill. Higher-grade grips would make these poles a 5/5 for their price and design. Images shared by: Sconnie SkierHandle cracked after only 1 month of skiing. Tags: Picture of Product
By Ann on the farm from Weston, MA on 01/20/2009 Pros: Great Construction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I finally replaced my old xc skiis (back when they recommended a 195 for me), with these in the 173. They're great! Very fast in the snow yesterday.
Great boots for the price! By nganward from Salt Lake City on 01/19/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Good Traction, Look Cool, Quality Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great boots! Easy on and easy off - quick lacing system with built-in gaitors (albeit on the shorter side). They don't give me blisters (yay!!) like my old pair did.
By mb from North Carolina on 01/15/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Best ski for less than perfect conditions. Stable on pretty ugly stuff and fast enough, a good ski if you are going to own one set. Would recommend highly.
By Sam from VT on 01/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This poor rating is really just a reflection of the incorrect sizing chart listed by Sierra. A UK size 5 is not a US 7 and besides that what was shipped was a UK size 4.5 - US 5. Aside from that it looked like a nice product at a very good price, unfortunately I had to return them.
