By Dave from Michigan on 01/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I can not use these ski boots. The toe clips are to narrow to fit into the bindings on the skis. They do not work. The do not work. I have Soleman Skis.
By 1112 from Maine on 01/13/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Look Cool, Quality Construction Best Uses: Racing, Recreational, Workout Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fabulous boot. I've tried Fischer and Salomon without success as far as Skate skiing goes. It took Atomic to make it work.
Great Poles, Bad Hand Straps By PJT from Milwaukee on 01/11/2009 Pros: Ergonomic Grip, Good Stiffness, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These poles have decent stiffness, good cork grips, and are very lightweight. For the money, it might be hard to find a better carbon pole. The handstraps are near worthless if your hands are big, though. The strap is so short that I had difficulty fastening them over thin, size large XC gloves. Impossible to fasten over normal winter gloves. I guess you could try to sew more velcro onto the strap. The straps are removable, so I just swapped them out with some nice ones from my older poles.

Very warm and comfortable with good flex.
By Outdoor Gal from MN on 01/07/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Easy Lacing System, Quality Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boot. The boot definitely runs a little wider. I went down a half size from what I would normally buy, to help cut down on the width.
By Newby from Seattle, WA on 01/06/2009 Pros: Easy Lacing System, Warm Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm new to cross country skiing so have nothing to compare to but, thought that these boots did the job fine. The price was great.
Cheap construction, poor warranty By atomicbootssuck from WI on 01/06/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot is junk. After wearing these boots two times for about 1 hour each time, the upper material is tearing at the seems on both boots in multiple places. For the price, I would expect them to not fall apart in the first week of ownership. Atomic refuses to repair the boot despite their one year warranty which states they would, so their customer service is also lacking.
By xcskiingsince1959 from Northfield MN on 01/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Ergonomic Grip, Good Precision, Good Stiffness, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice stiffness, and swing weight is very light. Main problem is somewhat cheap wrist strap- so short it is hard to tighten over thick gloves on those polar MN days.
By Mad Dawg from Davis, IL on 01/03/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for out the back door skiing.
By gino7 from Logan, UT on 12/31/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Quality Construction, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this boot because it has great ankle support without cutting into my bones. My feet are always warm (even in really cold weather) because there is a little extra room in the toe area. I am a pretty casual skate skier but just upgraded to a new boot because I love it!
