If you're spending this much on a coat, it's probably a good idea to be informed about what you're buying. Once you understand the different 'types' of Spanish shearling (thinkness of hide, density of fur) you'll understand what a great deal this is (I bought at [$].) It's in the details; the coat has finished button holes, the stitching and panel construction is finished very nicely, there's a hood and hand pockets sewn on to the seems. Not all shearlings come with pockets because they look bulky. I'm petite, usually wear a regular 2-4 and I bought the dark brown in 6 - it fits beautifully. I would call it a "slim fit". Also keep in mind these will give a little with wear - it's a skin, and like leather, will stretch a little. This coat is really gorgeous and a good deal for the money.

My experience has been that the traditional double breasted overcoats are not warm, and often can be too dressy. Though I wear a shirt and tie, I don't often wear a jacket on weekdays. I searched on several upscale stores and did not see a better coat for the price. I kept coming back to this coat. I also went to various stores searching for a good winter coat.
I was happy I read comments about size before I purchased mine. I wear a 42-43 suit jacket. The 46 is perfect.

I wanted a sheepskin one and did not know what to expect. The head size was accurate and the color slightly darker than the advertised picture, which I liked. It is light and does not weigh down my curls nor feel heavy on my head. I can hardly wait for the cold weather to begin wearing it.

The styling with the 3/4 zipper is very nice and frankly with the buttons, a full length zipper would be redundant.
