Aston Waist-Length Shearling Jacket By Rag from San Jose California. on 10/05/2009 Pros: Good Cut, Good for an evening walk, Warm Cons: Better wwith 2 way zipper Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use the jacket for evening walk in fall around this time of the year in California, too early to say anything about winter. 2 way zipper would have been a bettert idea than full length zipper - or the zipper could be 3-4 inches shorter, so that one could sit comfortably. Full length zipper makes the jacket a bit restrive around the hips.
The Sleeves are way too long - should be at least 4 inches shorter - for comparison try the sleeves on a medium or even large size men's shirt or jacket. Even after folding the sleeves 6 inches, for me the slvees are still too long - I will have to get it altered or just cut off 6 inches to make it look better.

By Spoo from Western Mass on 09/22/2009 Cons: Not Warm, Poor Material Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I fell in love with this coat online and finally decided to purchase it. I ordered a size up and the fit was fine. However, it just didn't seem luxurious or of the highest quality. I debated about keeping it, and decided since I didn't love it to return it. I think its an okay coat, but not one that lives up to the reviews. What turned me off most was that the shearling felt thin and the coat felt okay for fall, but not for a New England winter.
By Suski from New York City on 09/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had to send the size 12 back, but luckily I was able to order a size 10. I chose the black, it's very classy looking and cozy! When waiting at a bus stop, here in New York City, the coat really keeps the wind out. It's also has very flattering lines, unlike most shearling coats. I just love it!

Great jacket needs more pockets By Ian from Frederick MD on 09/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A beautiful jacket at a great price. However, I had to send the first one back because it was way smaller than the stated size. The 46 inch chest that I ordered was perfect (I take a 43 inch normally). On the positive side the leather is Aston's Krek, which is said to resist light rain and snow (I haven't had a chance to test it yet). A major negative is that it only has two side hand pockets, not a single inner pocket for valuables.
By Rakhi's Mom from Kirkland, WA on 08/27/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am usually size 14 but ordered 16 to make sure the coat fit. It was 2 sizes too large. Was expecting a luxurious lightweight coat. This one is quite heavy. The fur is somewhat "rough". Nice but not what I wanted. The garment is made of several "pieces" & for that reason does not look all that expensive. However, the price I got - with several "deals" combined - was so good I'd have probably kept the coat had I been able to order a smaller size in the "krek" but they were all sold out.
