By Happy Feet from Kenai, Alaska on 06/01/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stain Resistant, Warm Best Uses: Constuction Work, Hiking, Wet Weather, Work wear Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Value seeker Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Generally speaking, I rarely purchase shoes from an online retailer unless I've tried the shoes on at a local store. I've been burned on postage too many times. After shopping for a pair of work boots here locally and not being satisfied with either the quality and/or the price, I decided to give Sierra Trading Post a gander. After reading all of the reviews and taking the price into account, I took the plunge and ordered these boots. I AM THRILLED! At first I was afraid that they ran a bit small, but after wearing them around the house for a couple of days before I committed, they felt just fine in length. A bit stiff at first, they have broken in nicely after about two weeks of wear at work. VERY COMFORTABLE and great support. My feet don't feel sore or tired at the end of the day - two issues that are a deal breaker for me. I haven't been in really wet conditions yet so I can't comment on their claim of being waterproof. An EXCELLENT boot for a great price.

By Viking from Australia on 05/25/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stain Resistant, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Realistic Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are just great. To get the most out of them you must add a set of Shock Doctor X- Active insoles and wear a good pair of trekker socks. These boots are well made, heavy duty critters, with the only downside being the large toe making them look clodhopperish, similar to the type of boot worn by construction workers in the '30s. However the comfort and feel to them outweighs this. As I have yet to test their ability in the wet I can't comment on how waterproof they are, and so could only give a 4 star rating.
