My husband had a pair that he wore for two years EVERY day. Boots don't usually last that long with him so I was sold on them just from that. Now I have my own pair and LOVE them. Just be aware they are stiff for the first couple days.

Great Mountaineering Boot By Colorado guy from Denver Colorado on 11/08/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Crampons, Great Traction, Mountaineering, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This Boot can take anything you throw at it! I have used them with a pair of MSR snowshoes on a all day hike with no problems. I used them with crampons and they performed great. This is not the kind of boot you "break in", very stiff and rugged. Made for serious Mountaineering.

Solid shoe, but stability is a concern By Dirt Runner from Carlsbad, CA on 11/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe feels comfortable thus far, but the heel is pretty narrow, making me concerned about the stability. I moved from the Salomon XT Wings to try La Sportiva because the Salomons are soft and break down very quickly. But at least the Salomons have a broader base in the heel, making the shoe feel more stable. I never fell off the sides of those, and I have rolled the La Sportivas a bit.
Just don't work for my feet By Walk the Hills from Three Rivers, CA on 11/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: There is a single seam that runs across the big toe in a spot very uncomfortable for my foot. I knew as soon as I tried them on they wouldn't work so didn't wear them at all. See Service Comments
