Disagree the shoes run large By sislev from Almaty, Kazakhstan on 10/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I followed the guidance and ordered 1/2 size smaller than my normal size, and found the shoes tight. I have wide feet and high arches, and think that my normal size will be very comfortable. Seems to be a good shoe.
Good looking shoe! Needs more of an arch By mtbg from Windsor, CO on 10/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Could use a higher arch. I ordered a 1/2 size large like what was recommended and it fits great!
Comfortable but too small By Scout from Culver City, CA on 10/05/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Durable Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a size 6.5 which I've always worn for athletic shoes but these shoes were much smaller than true to size. My toes were jammed, making it uncomfortable to even walk. I would've exchanged it for the next size but they didn't have it in stock.
2nd attempt at Superdrago sizing By climbonclimber from reno, nv on 10/04/2009 Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, No Arch Support, Not Enough Cushioning, Too Stiff Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: To be fair, this was an online sale and I was unable to try on in the store. The sole rubber is barely sticky (1st time use on sandstone) and sole is very stiff making steep ascents/descents fairly sketchy. I'm a solid woman's US size 6, and can wear Mythos 35.5 all day long with comfort. Pretty disappointed in this La Sportiva product.
On the up side - my experience with Sierra Trading Post has been stellar - will definitely shop with them in the future.
Great Traction for the Trail By Adagio from nashville on 10/04/2009 Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Even though these are trail runners I bought them for inside use. They do have a lot of traction, probably great for outside use...a little sticky for indoor use. But, they are comfortable and bright ( I bought the purple/yellow combo).
By Casual Climber from Santa Clara, CA on 09/30/2009 Best Uses: Climbing Approach Shoe Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for approaches and walk-offs (rock climbing). Good soles, sturdy enough, but not too heavy. These will require a little break in. I have a wide foot - a bit tight in the forefoot, but I can address that with a different lacing pattern. Overall, I like them fine and they are a good value.
By Hiker Girl from Tucson, AZ on 09/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took these on a 6 mile hike out of the box and they were so comfortable.
Seemed very solid but very narrow By Biz from Newton,NH on 09/29/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These seemed like just the boots I was looking for. I needed something solid and durable with good support and traction but when I tried them on I could barely get my hand in them nevermind my foot. I have a small but a wide foot and usually wear a 7.5-8. Thats what I ordered but there's no way it would fit and there were no larger sizes available. Really dissapointed because otherwise they seem like a great boot.
By Local Dog from North Florida on 09/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Rugged Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Given other comments, I ordered a half size smaller. They fit like a glove. Good-sized toe box. Really comfortable and not ugly. I may just order another pair.
