Nat Nast

Nat Nast

A savvy entrepreneur, Nat Nast began his career making bowling shirts in 1946 (the national pastime of that era), and later moved on to create his quintessential sport shirts. Nat Nast shirts celebrate the great American lifestyle with their unconventional and sometimes vintage styles, comfortable action backs, and luxury knit fabrics. From embroidered silk camp shirts to vintage T’s and relaxed jeans, Nat Nast originals recapture an era.

Nat Nast Roadster Sport Shirt - Silk-Cotton, Short Sleeve (For Men)

Very cool shirt, but oddly sized
By GaturVerified Reviewer from Arlington, Virginia on 03/06/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Travel
Describe Yourself:
High-end shopper, Stylish
Sizing:
Feels too large
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
As another respondent has posted about Nat Nast sport shirts, they are strangely sized. Size large is WAY large, although, as I am 6'2", it could be longer. The medium would probably be a better fit, except it would be even shorter. The Nat Nast man must be short and tubby. Nevertheless, the silk material feels great and the design is outstanding. If you're not tall and you like your shirts loose-fitting, you can't go wrong.

The sweater is nice enough to wear to the office on Fridays, or out to the movies on the evening. It is also versitle enough to wear around the house. If there were more colors available I'd consider the purchase of another.

For casual wear only. The material is nice but a combination of 50% silk and 50% cotton would be better. Also the color is too yellow to be called tan. I did not like the taupe. It was more moss green than taupe.

Comments:
I had never been aware of Nat Nast, but then I wasnt really in the crowd that could afford [$] shirts. The Klee-like design caught my eye in Sierra (I am an art buff), and when I read the blurb which came with the product, I realized that these shirts are marketed to the very rich. And the shirt looks and feels like that. The design is unusual--not what youd find in your average department store. And the fabric is luxuriant. Even though the fit is a bit odd for me, I will wear it anyway, since it is so very distinctive. If it were not for Sierra Trading Post, I would not be able to own such magnificent clothing! Thank you Sierra, for letting me in on this rarefied world, at least a little bit.
