Lovely Dress, sized wrong, needs belt By Beth from El Dorado Hills, Ca on 08/08/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering, Nice Fabric Best Uses: Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress is for a petite person and runs small. It is a lovely dress and the material is good, but it requires a belt to feel completed. It isn't the reqular Ellen Tracy fit. I am 5'7" and can wear a 10, but the 10 fit like a 6 and the 14 was 5 inches too short in the waist. Otherwise, it is a lovely dress!
By darlindj from Madison, WI on 07/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Best Uses: Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress is beautiful and very different -- a stunner. The belt is unnecessary and doesn't add much to the look. I took it off.
By J from San Jose, CA on 07/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only down side to this dress is that the waist line seems to "ride up" a tad when sitting. It feels ackward in the beginning, but once you know what it is, it's fine.
By alabamashopper from birmingham, al on 07/19/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Parties Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an awesome dress; quality material and workmanship. Which is to be expected from Ellen Tracy dresses. Only one complaint, I'm 5'5", and it was a little long on me.
Old Time Classic at low Modern Day Price By "Sunshine" from Kingston, NH on 07/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This wonderful cotton dress is just what you'll want to feel gorgeous, yet comfortable at a restaurant, company function or family get-to-gether. It truly stands out in a crowd, while remaining a classic. I changed the black belt to a tasteful white one and completed the ensemble with a white bag and shoes for the summer. You wouldn't believe all the compliments I've gotten. I'm a 6 and this dress fits me like a glove, but the way the belt is elevated higher then the waist, yet not high enough to be considered an "Empire", it gives a little room to comfortably fit those needing a 7-8. You can tell I'm tickled pink with this dress and would highly recommend it to any woman who wants to add a little soft, "sunny" joy to her life.
High Quality, Great Cut, Runs Small By SecondCityGirl from Chicago, IL on 07/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering, High quality fabric, Nice Fabric, Versatile, Wrinkle Resistant Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress is gorgeous - very high quality fabric and a flattering cut. It runs a bit small though, and I am returning mine. The khaki is a true khaki, which ended up not being ideal. If the 10 in navy was available, I would exchange in a heartbeat. This would be great for an office environment with a cardigan.

Distinct bleb in the silk By beaglemom from north suburbs Chicago on 07/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Cons: Distinct bleb in silk, Waist falls too high Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: there was a distinct bleb in the silk on the chest- like the sewing machine had accidentally sewed an inch or so of fabric- right over the bust, very visible.
Other than that the waist fell too high for me ( I am 5'8") but it is otherwise a great dress
