great boot, but... NO BREATHABILITY!!! By Professor Boots! from Flushing, NY on 10/26/2009 Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a beautiful boot. Lowa makes boots out of top-notch materials and there is a sense of quality in the boot that I'm sure the boot will live up to. However, there are two things wrong with the boot. Eyelets. A boot this high should have locking eyelets. (I forsee the laces snapping sometime before the end of the 09/10 winter season.) And most of all, Breathability. This boot simply does not breathe at all. I've had numerous Gore-Tex products--as everything in NYC comes with Gore-Tex--but usually you have about a year until the Gore-Tex is a wash and your feet become odor factories. This boot refused to let my feet breathe on the first day... I kept them because the fit and the look at great. But I doubt I will enjoy the boot as much as previous Lowa products I've owned. I'm disappointed with Lowa

By E-Rock from Helena, MT on 10/22/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was mainly looking for a durable work boot. I've been wearing boots for years for work and recreation and for the most part other boots don't hold up to my demands in footware, so far the x-pro boots are awesome they keep my feet warm, dry, and are moderiately flexible I really enjoy these boots.
By Will from Louisville, KY on 10/21/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Eagle Scout Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wonderful boot. I've gone through my fair share of hiking boots and after trying these on in my local store I knew these were the next ones for me. Very roomy toe box, and excellent support for my ankle. Many people say they don't think there is enough support, however I typically hike in low-cut boots so these were fantastic. Gore-Tex is a must for me, and once again it hasn't disappointed. I was concerned about the plastic lace clips at first too, but they have held up through all I've put it through so I am no longer worried. Shoe is overall very light, and somehow they manage to make my foot look small (I wear a 14), yet there is a ridiculous amount of room inside the shoe without my foot sliding around everywhere. So far I've put about 270 miles on them and they are my favorite boots I have.
