By dgrock from indiana on 10/05/2009 Pros: Stable, Stylish shoe Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my daughter and she thought they felt snug, so they were returned. Very cute shoes, though.

By l from South Dakota on 10/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: Heavy, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Break in time is short, maybe 10 miles of hiking. I did get a blister, on my heel, because the padding around the back of the shoe allowed my heel to slip. This was resolved with a synthetic liner sock and a different pattern in the laces. The leather lining is great, and the shoes breathe very well. I was expecting more of a Lowa boot fit, but they feel similar in sizing to my running shoes.
By pesto magic from springdale, ut on 09/30/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Sturdy/Durable, Warm Cons: Heavy, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfortable for all day use. Going to try them out for fire season and see how it goes. Besides the stiffness, one of the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.
By zenith from Boston, MA on 09/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: it's not an excellent pair of boots as it should be. Boots of such style should be stronger, a little bit stiffer, and provide more bearing strength to feet. Naming Khumbu Ice should be considered as some kind of high performance boots for heavy duty!
The color is like some sort of cheap made shoe. Either more simple or more deluxe will be better. The color of the boots is too plain
great fit and very comfortable By Frank Wilcox from Little Falls, NY on 09/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] The Lowa are a very good trail shoe
By grouse hunter from Minnesota on 09/27/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a noisy boot out of the box. It is a leather squeak caused by the top lace. I tied it down 1 lace & that took care of squeak. I am not a fan of swede leather. I would put some toe protection , like a hiking boot has. I see this style has been discontinued. I should have bought 2 pairs.
By Rob from eastern wa state on 09/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First of all, I have narrow feet. These boots fit like moccasins. Unbelievably comfortable. They did squeak, prior to lacing correctly, at which point they are silent. They aren't likely to be incredibly durable, as they are light and soft. But, I haven't owned them long enough to know. They are nice looking and could be worn anywhere. The recommendations for care include scotch guard equivelent and frequent cleaning-I concur.
By rocket girl from maryland on 09/24/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear hiking boots most of the time because I have bad feet and they are the only thing with enough support. These are great - my feet just go "aaahhh" when I put them on. Very solid ankle support and great arch support. Excellent fit for me - I have somewhat narrow heels but wide feet. No rubbing, plenty of toe room, no problems at all from when I first put them on. They are stiff, but I like them that way; I need the support. I wear them as every day boots, can't speak for how they hold up to heavy duty hiking but they are taking daily wear well.

The price is terrific. Will continue to use Sierra exclusively. No one can beat them.
