They seem to run on the small side, and they definitely run on the narrow side. However, I ordered true size, and although a bit narrow, they feel okay and have already broken in a bit after one wearing.

I am a 9.5N and the fit is perfect. Calves are tight, but I like them that way, leather tends to stretch over time. These boots would not be good for someone with wide feet and claves. I had to remove the fleece insole for the boots to fit. The insole might work with thin nylons during really cold weather.
