Comments:
This is a good looking bike with a great functional design. I've had this bike for over a year in the matte steal colour. It definitely catches people's eyes when I'm biking around the city. Even gets the occasional comments. Everything on this bike was designed with the commute in mind. Comes with all the important accessories- front/back fenders, LED back light. The only thing I added was a bell. It's also compatible with fender racks if you want to add that. The components are descent if not high end. Lower end Shimano stuff but they work well and gears shift smoothly and quickly. Durability may be an issue over time compared to higher end components. The bike comes with low resistance tires with puncture shield. I find they roll quite well on pavement. Seating position is mix between a mountain bike and cruiser/comfort bike. You're not as low on the handle bars as a mountain bike, but the more upright position makes its more comfortable on your back for an urban commute. The handle bar position can be customized so you can find a seating position you like. The only downsides to this bike other than the lower grade Shimano components are that it comes with lots of stickers. I removed some of them because I didn't want the bike looking too flashy for the bike thieves. It's also not the most nimble bike if you compare to a road bike. This is due mainly to the fact that its not as light and the tires are a bit wider than a road bike. It's still fairly lightweight compared to mountain bikes and other hybrid bikes. This is a highly recommended urban commuter bike.

Comments:
This is my first bike since college so it's difficult to rate. I'm almost learning to ride all over again. It seems like a good bike and so far I'm having fun. Fortunately my son was able to put it together for me because I never would have been able to do it myself. The gears are easy to use and the brakes work well; the bike is nice looking and the fenders keep rain/mud from splattering. Overall, a good road/commuting bike.

Comments:
This is a great bike for the price, since it comes with fenders to keep you dry and it seems well-built. My issue was that upon delivery, there were no instructions provided on how to complete the bike assembly. Also, the battery that came with the taillight included on the bike seat was DOA on my bike.

Cons:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This bike feels wonderful for city commuting. But from the start, I had several flat tires, then spokes keep breaking. There must be something wrong with the specs on the hub/spokes/rims. (I do not jump curbs or hit potholes)
