By ALSmith from Washington DC on 05/22/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable saddle, Great fenders, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This bike feels wonderful for city commuting. But from the start, I had several flat tires, then spokes keep breaking. There must be something wrong with the specs on the hub/spokes/rims. (I do not jump curbs or hit potholes)

By aaron from all over on 02/02/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Handles Well Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Solid frame, a little on the heavy side, but very sturdy and true. Handles very well. The only disadvantage is the sora components, but in this price range, that is to be expected.
good midrange hardtail with disc brakes By Marin Bob from Marin County, CA on 01/04/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: pro: good components. (exc. spoke gauge, below).
con: arrived UPS with very bent (rear) derailleur hanger, would not shift worth a darn. took two days locally to get it fixed (hanger is integral to frame, which had to be straightened).
con: 15 gauge spokes haven't held up to hard use on my prior Eldridge Grade, replaced most of those on the rear wheel; local shops only provide this size spoke with 15 gauge nipples, so in case of a spoke repair the tire must be removed and nipple swapped out for 14 gauge replacement.
