Fantastic Jacket. I am impressed. By ToddLand from Redmond, Wa on 11/14/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Quality, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Sizing is larger expected Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First, I have to say I really like this jacket. I have been very picky after seeing the Marker USA Barometer jacket I purchased from STP for my wife - it was really nice. I've been hunting online and at local stores for a similar quality. This men's jacket is light, durable and has some fit-n-finish (like a warm lined collar, taped seams, and nice inside pockets) that has really impressed me.
I wasn't sure how nice the hood was going to be since it is tucked in the collar and there weren't photos of it. It is just as nice as the regular hooded jackets with Marker's flexible but well-formed hood brim. I can see how rain could collect in the zipper area as another reviewer noted.
The only thing to watch for is the sizing seems a bit large compared to other brand's. I am 5'10 185lbs and the Medium is perfect. If it wasn't for an earlier review stating similar I would have been returning what would have been a Large for a smaller size. Thanks to the other reviewers!

Wanted to like this jacket By PJ from TN on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved everything about this jacket EXCEPT that the torso was too short. I'm only about 5' tall, and it hit at an awkward spot above the hip, making it look boxy and not great for moving in. So, I'll be returning it and will have to keep looking for a good softshell jacket. I would only recommend if I thought the jacket were a good match for a person's body shape or style.
Warm, light and comfortable By Magnolia1e from Colorado Mountains on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is excellent on a cool, breezy day. It is an excellent wind blocker. It is lightweight and comfortable and could even be worn under another heavier coat if needed. I wish it was a few inches longer to cover more when I sit down, but all in all it is wonderful.

By Snowman from Petaluma, CA on 11/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket for the price. Cozy, durable, rugged. Great looking liner design hidden inside. For more money, I would want a better front zipper and back vents, but at STP price, this was the jacket I bought after much searching online and locally. Can't beat it.
