Dahlgren

Dahlgren

You’d have a hard time convincing a Dahlgren sock lover to switch to another brand. Not only does Dahlgren use fine natural fibers like alpaca and merino wool (both with great capacity for warmth and moisture control), but designs their socks with strategic comfort zones that make the most of technology built into athletic and outdoor footwear. Dahlgren’s patented Dri-Stride system is a two-step construction method that promotes the absorption and transfer of moisture using natural fibers and Wick Spun acrylic. Other foot-friendly amenities include ventilation panels, inverted toe seams, "cling-free" stitches, and non-binding stretch tops that don’t bunch or sag. Try a pair and see for yourself why active people give Dahlgren socks such rave reviews.

Comments:
If you are a woman with small feet it can be hard to find a hiking sock that fits well. These are perfect. I wear a 4 1/2 - 5 shoe and these socks in a size small fit great. They are nice and snug and they stay in place and don't slip around in the heel as some other brands do.

Comments:
The Boyfriend likes these socks much better than the Dahlgren walking socks. The small size fits his medium feet well, No slide , good cushion. He likes thick socks. I have a couple of pairs too and they are very nice. The small also fit MY small feet well. The alpaca doesn't get too hot. I prefer a little less thickness so my favorite are the Dahlgren light hiker socks. If you like cushy hiking socks these are the ones.

Comments:
I had two pairs of women's Light Hiker Dahlgren's frpm last year and I LOVE them. They are the Best for chilly days in the winter. These Men's socks are a higher crew style than my first and they are not form fitting. I think it is a size issue. The Dahlgrens feel best when they are snug. Oddly enough it is now spring and these socks are comfortable ( not too hot as I would have expected). They have the perfect amount of cushion. Good socks for cowboy boots and also working all day. The calluses on my feet have subsided since I started wearing these socks more often. Super-comfy socks. nice grey color too.

Cons:
Don't machine dry
Best Uses:
Daily Use, Ranch and riding, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Fit:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I don't know yet how these hold up, but they are soft yet strong, warm but not bulky, and attractive to boot. I normally don't machine dry my socks anyway but that might be a drawback for some users. Natural fibers are a plus. On sizing, I am at the large end of size small (7 shoe). Very tiny feet might find these a little big.
