When you buy marmot you buy quality By the outdoor girl from chautauqua county on 11/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Great for under a shell, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Under a shell Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned this item only because the item did not match my shell. After I returned it, I was upset that I just didn't keep it. I had got it at a great price. Marmot has great products. The venus 800 is perfect for turning a jacket into a 3 in one with a rain shell.

By Tall Kat from Boston, MA on 11/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This will be great for casual warmth or a layer under a ski jacket. It is a couple inches longer in the sleeves and body than the average garment but isn't too big in the shoulders or the width so it is perfect for tall people. The seams are all neat and well-made showing high quality workmanship.
By Buttercup the Thinker from Salt lake City, UT on 11/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish Best Uses: Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got it to use for running in rainy conditions, and actually returned it for a smaller size. I am so used to sizing up a little bit in workout wear, and was so surprised that large (I am a 12 in ready-to-wear) fit great and I had wonderful movement. I think that is the beauty of Marmot, the way they style the sleeves and the fit. You really feel like the coat is not there weightwise, you just feel ready to face the weather. I am going to purchase more Marmot products for various outdoors activities, as this will be best just for mild temperatures with rain. Very happy with this jacket, love the sweetpea color. My one complaint is that sleeves are a bit long, but they may be perfect for someone taller.

I wore these while constructing a deck last week when the weather was "extremely" windy and cold. They were just as good on the jobsite as they were on the trail.
