Windstopper Does The Job Really Well By Dick from Denver area on 10/06/2009 Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the headband, however, I wear a 7 3/8 hat and this fits a 7. I was able to make a velcro extension, and it works really well. It would have been nice if the velcro fasteners were closer to the ends of the headband so that it would fit me. I would like a couple more to keep in jacket pockets.
Excellent price, good gloves By Ken from NC Mountains on 10/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Biking, Driving, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cool weather living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Gore windstopper is another name for fleece and it DOES NOT stop much wind. That said, it is an excellent glove, and is warm for above freezing cycling, and hiking at colder tempts.
By Mamadog from Boulder, CO on 09/30/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have small hands and the fit is excellent. However, I also have Raynauds, and these gloves are just not warm enough. I've noticed before with other Gortex Windstopper gloves that I feel a "clamminess" that chills my fingers. I was hoping to use them for cold weather cycling and hiking, but realize that won't work. Best place for these will be in the car. Would have been better if the grip covering extended to the fingers; it's only on the palm. I ordered 2 pairs. In the first order, both right hand gloves were defective. Had to exchange them. If I had known they weren't warm enough, I would have just returned them. BTW, I called Manzella and learned that they make these only for STP.

By GP Travels from Boulder, CO on 09/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip, Snug Fit, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great, multi-use, mid-weight glove for cold weather. This is my second pair (lost the first after a year) and I was glad to find them again at STP. These gloves are perfect for cold mornings at the campsite, as well as extra warmth when hiking at altitude or in cold weather. I've even used them for snowshoe outings in the winter. I'd say they are good down to 30 degrees and do a great job blocking wind and light moisture. And the fit is PERFECT.
