I will also use them to hike in. They are new and a little stiff, so I plan to break them in on some short hikes first.
By Stephie from Denver, CO on 11/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports, work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the reviews about the sizing running too small, the toe box being too small and not being able to wear thick socks etc. I waver between a 9 & 10 in shoe size, so I went for the 10. They fit perfectly. There is no need to wear thick socks because they are so well insulated. I have walked through puddles, snow, icy snowy puddles and they don't even look wet afterward. I have never owned a cuter, practical pair of winter shoes/boots in my life. I highly, highly recommend these boots.
By Why do I need a nickname? from Shelby, MI on 11/17/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear them everyday to an office setting. So far they seem good. Very comfortable, well made. They do feel just a little narrow, but not bad enough to go through a return.

There was no problem with these.
We were visiting in Norway in September, hiking in snow in the mountains. Her feet stayed toasty warm and dry while the rest of us had wet feet.
Also, we were amused by the pattern on the soles of the boots!
