I've only tested these once on the trail, but I am quite happy with the way they handled the terrain. Wearing them for the 1st time, I covered several miles and they remained comfortable the entire distance.
I love the slip-on quality with no laces to tie or come untied. Instead the shoes are interlaced with an elastic cord that pulls tight. The only caveat was that the end of one of the cords pulled loose and I had a helluva time trying to thread it back through the loop and I doubt I have it secure enough to keep from pulling out again. I think I have the exception though.
Traction was excellent climbing trails with loose rocks. Slight slippage on wet or damp rocks. Have not put them to the 'wet' test yet.

Comments: These fit perfectly and comfortably the first time I put them on! I have neuropathy in my right foot and it never bothers me when I where these shoes! I always spray my shoes that have suede on them to prevent water stains, marks, dirt and never have a problem with any of them after they are sprayed. I wear them everywhere!

Comments: I live in Montana, where the winters are cold, and I was able to wear this shoe all year round. I work 8 hours a day in these shoes, and I still want to hike in them on the weekends. They are not water resistant, but water doesn't soak through easily, even when hiking through creek beds. I am exactly a 10 B, and these shoes fit my size perfectly. I'm a shoe fitter, and I couldn't ask for a better shoe.
