I used them for a year for hiking, asphalt running, trail running in tropical weather and also during the fall. They were the most comfortable shoes I ever had. My feet are narrow with high arch so the cushioning of these shoes was perfect for me.
I am sorry that the new Montrail are not as good as they used to be.

Although they are trail runners I got them as approach shoes. The traction is fantastic and they are very comfortable - even after a two-hour bushwack approach in extremely varied terrain.

They have a great arch support, but I do have a high arch. These are definitely my "favorite trail shoes."

I wore these boost for two days and did not bring any seed home with me. They went from the box to the field with no discomfort. I would try this brand again.
