By sallykayak from foothills of the Adirondacks on 10/28/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Best Uses: Carrying almost anything Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had 2 of these for a couple years, and I just bought 8 more as gifts. The rubber bottom not only helps the bag keep its shape, but unlike canvas tote bags, you can put it down on a wet parking lot and not worry that the bag will get wet.
I use it for all kinds of everyday carrying - groceries, library books, snacks, drinks, you name it, if it fits in this bag, I have carried it!
By Dawn the Day Hiker from NY on 10/28/2009 Pros: Easy To Load, Large Capacity Best Uses: Day Hikes, Extended Hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased this for my dog but it was way too big for him. He is 65 pounds but the pack could not adjust small enough for him. He has a large chest and thought that large is what he needed. The quality of the pack was good and the included items were just an added bonus to this well made pack. Wish I could have made it work for him.
By Happy Walker from San Francisco, CA on 10/28/2009 Pros: Easy To Refill, Large Capacity, Stable, Sturdy well constructed Cons: Zipper strings a bit thin Best Uses: Closet organizer, Day Trips, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this product to organize the sweaters, purses, scarves, etc., etc., that were accumulating on (and falling off of) the shelves in my closet. Worked so well that I bought a second cube!
By Camper Girl from Tulsa OK on 10/27/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Camping gear, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great quality and consturction
Nice, but not sure how to use By Way Up North from Cadillac, MI on 10/26/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Career, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very well made -- but the inner compartments are softer than I expected. I decided to keep, but will have to figure out how to use. Stiffeners in the compartments would be helpful (unless you're carrying soft things like clothing).
By hiway99w from Newberg, OR on 10/24/2009 Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy Best Uses: Protecting Gear, Storing Gear Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is absolutely huge and well-suited to storing and transporting a serious camera outfit to a photo shoot. Tons of compartments and pockets make storing and accessing equipment and accessories easy. At nearly 8 lbs., though, this is not a camera pack for hiking or trail use (my intended use)--it is at least twice as big a necessary for that purpose.
By tuckerj from Marion, MA on 10/23/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Gear storgae, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second set. I have had the first set for over 5 years. They still look brad new. Great to separate out your gear for trips and storage. I use them all the time and needed more. It is a price that can not be beat. Not much has changed on these since I purchased the first set, but it does look like it has more of a coating on the inside. The only thing I would change is the large bag that holds the small ones is not that use full with the small bags. I mainly use the large bag to carry other gear like tents, sleeping bags, pad a pad other stuff.
Okay pack, but room for improvement By Rusty from San Francisco, CA on 10/23/2009 Pros: Easy To Load, Large Capacity Cons: Potential for zipper fail, Suspension system Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this for an international vacation and am reasonably happy with it. It has good capacity, is easy to load, unload, and has enough pockets to keep gear organized. Fabric appears to be nice and durable, it's got plenty of space, and I'm happy to see big durable zippers. That said, I'm lukewarm on the suspension system - while the waistbelt is comfortable and sturdy, the pack as a whole has tendency to sag and carries like a laundry bag. But I think this may be typical for travel packs of this sort (vs trail packs); it's not a problem unless you're planning on hiking for long distances. Also, converting the pack from suitcase mode to backpack mode takes a while and involves a lot of buckles; seems like it could be simpler. Finally, the main compartment zipper falls right along the edge at the top of the pack - over time, this could cause more wear here and be a potential point of failure. Overall, it's a decent travel pack. Maybe not the best, but good enough for the price.
Good tote to tote good stuff By victoria from bowling green, ky on 10/22/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Carry all for extra stuff Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's just the right size to carry my extra stuff, like a book to read, bills to pay, etc. I like keeping it all together so I can work on it when I have free time and it doesn't get lost in tranist.
