Very well built with the exception of the plastic hook.

By Rey from Annapolis, MD on 06/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Good Weight, Versatile Cons: Openingclosing difficult Best Uses: Day Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The diagrams are not sufficient for the use of the bits and adding the lanyard ring or belt clip.
By The Old Sarge from Altoona, Wisconsin on 06/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice knife. Heavy in weight and durable. Pocket clip is another story; it takes a #8 torx bit to remove it. Knife has a #15 torx bit. Had to purchase a separate bit to remove the clip. (An additional [$]) Once removed the screw doesn't sit flush with knife and there is a large unfilled gap where the top of the clip sat.
By Schmiry from Charlotte, NC on 06/15/2009 Pros: Durable blade Versitile Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great price. I bought this as a backup. Leatherman, the name speaks for itself. I have tools upwards of 15 yrs old still going strong.
By Climbhigh from NJ on 06/14/2009 Pros: 154 blade holds up well, Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Blade is heavy duty, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a great hiking tool cliped to your backpack.
You will never find a 154CM blade at this price.I have a Griptilian with a 154CM blade, but, I like the broader spear point on this model better. I like having the interchangeable screw bit feature.
Too heavy as an everyday carry knife, but, it has great utility for everything else.
Lowest price ever on great knife. By SLO hiker. from San Luis Obispo, CA on 06/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Versatile Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have bought 4 of these knives over the years. I have one in each vehicle and pack and always in my jeans pocket. ALWAYS HAVING A BOTTLE OPENER ROCKS! Great tools and good blade. Everything you want from a pocket tool, but w/convenience of conventional liner-lock knife. Same size and weight as pocket knife, but does so much more. Wear it everyday!
great price on a great piece By thompst from Oakland, CA on 06/06/2009 Pros: Handy, Sturdy, Useful Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was considering buying one of these anyway, until I saw it for nearly 1/2 price at Sierra Trading Post. For me, this is a great unit to have in your pocket. It's got a great knife, and sturdy screwdrivers tips, which is what I use most. I like the caliper/bottle opener, too-- not only does it hang anywhere, but also when it's out, it improves the grip by making the handle seem longer. This is a sturdy piece of gear from Leatherman.
solid ready for work knife By Riverrunner from Clearwater, FL on 06/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a really solid heavy duty knife. It comes well sharpened. It is a little bulky and heavy for everyday carry but for tradespeople it will be great. The retractable clip is handy for hooking on a belt loop or pocket while working but does not replace a pocket clip. As with other Leatherman products this is a real tool. The discount price makes it a great buy.
By Camper Joe from Loveland, OH on 06/03/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great steel. Holds an edge. Tools stay open. Blade launcher opens knife quickly with one hand. Screw driver bits are strong and ideal size. Handle grips well. Clip keeps the knife secure in pocket. Hook doubles as a bottle opener.
