Leatherman

Leatherman

Leatherman isn’t just a brand - it’s the nickname that’s used by workers everywhere to describe any general multitool. Regardless of the brand in question, people call almost any multitool that has pliers and a knife a "Leatherman." That’s because Oregon-based Leatherman was one of the first multitool knife brands, and remains the leader thanks to supreme quality tools designed for jobsites, boats, fieldwork and backcountry adventures. The classic Leatherman knife has a handle that separates to reveal built-in needlenose pliers, plus offers other tools like a knife blade, screwdrivers, a ruler, and a can-bottle opener. You can expect the utmost in strength and durability from your Leatherman knife, thanks to the highest quality stainless steel and materials. At Sierra Trading Post’s discounted prices, why bother buying any multitool that isn’t a genuine Leatherman?

Nice medium sized multi-tool
By cyclonejackVerified Reviewer from central Iowa on 05/17/2008
Pros:
Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Waiter syle cork screw
Cons:
No case, No Saw or Awl as stated
Best Uses:
Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Quality finish, no saw or awl included as stated in the bullet points. Nice in netween size from my tiny leatherman to large Bucktool multi-tool, this fits in between, still could use a small case as I find it uncomfortable in my pocket. I love finally having a waiter style cork screw, so this is a must for out door parties along with a bottle opener. You know Fat Tire and Sam Adams need a bottle opener so it's perfect for last minute get togethers.

I use this tool for day-to-day tasks such as tightening screws, opening boxes, and the like which it works very well for. This is not a survival multi tool but it very useful around the house. Also, worked well adjusting ski bindings on the slopes.

As an artist, I'm always in need of a tool. This is nice, but my old Leatherman is like an old friend and will always be by my side. This one will probably go in the glove box of my truck.
