By Tim from Kansas City on 01/08/2009 Best Uses: Cold Wet Businss Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket seemed nice, I only tried it on and wore it around the house in limited circumstances since I didn't keep it. The finish wasn't quite as nice as I expected (quality of zippers, etc) but was nice enough. I bought this, a barbour Beufort tweed jacket and a Chrysalis Chiltern jacket at the same time. The Chrysalis jacket was an amazingly better quality jacket. I know they are for different purposes, but quality is quality no matter your purpose. This would be a great jacket if you needed to walk alot in a cold wet climate in a business suit and galoshes, but the finish wasn't quite what I would expect in a coat of this suggested price. The other issue is that the jacket is silly huge. I am 6'3" and 220 pounds. This jacket wouldn't fit me if I weighed 240 pounds. It was truly huge. At least if you search enough you can find that Barbour adds 10 inches to the chest for their jackets. This jacket seemed about the same. A better size would be a 58 chest and about 56 around the waist. You need room underneath for a business suit, but there should be some disclaimer or something. I would recommend this jacket or brand with reservations.

Not a standard Euro 40 Size By Euro Brand Shopper from Germany on 12/13/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, High-end shopper, Stylish Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in Europe and normally buy European brands. I wear a standard Euro 40 sizing for Germany, and it fits perfectly. This coat was too small. If I was wearing *only* a thin t-shirt, it would fit, but otherwise, no.
All Euro coats I try on in the shops are sized to be worn over minimally a light/medium sweater. There was no way to do that with this coat.
I have returned the coat for a size 42 to see if it will fit properly. I hope so, as the fabric was gorgeous, and the design was exceptional.
By Lisa from West Chester, PA on 12/08/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love this coat! Just used it on a trip between coasts. Soft, lightweight & warm! Travels well. Was initially concerned about the fit across the chest. I'm 5'6", 145 lbs, larger chest which sometimes doesn't translate into all "10's". Can easily wear a vest underneath. Also, like the classic brown color for a change... All at a great price!
By Spiceman from Maryland on 11/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this thinking that it would make a good top coat. I ordered my normal suit size, and it is true to size. So don't order your normal size if you want a top coat. That aside, this is a really great quality coat that I wear in place of a normal suit/sport jacket. The extra length is great for the late fall/winter season. Add a good camel hair scarf and you are set.

Gorgeous coat and fabulous deal By Working woman from Boulder Colorado on 11/22/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for a friend and we both love the softness and weight of the cashmere, the long length, and the removable hood. Without the hood it looks almost dressy. He generally wears a 42 and I would say this might lean a little more toward the 44 side, but it fits beautifully with a heavy sweater under it which is the most likely way he'll wear it in winter. (For those who wear suits it will accommodate that as well.) The coat itself is lightweight so it could probably be worn in spring and fall with no additional layers, fit permitting. This is a fabulous buy.
