Not one of the shades are exactly alike By Brooke from Brookville, PA on 04/14/2009 Cons: Different colors of wood, Different hanging bracket, Different lengths, None of them match, Poor Design, Unattractive Best Uses: Only if u need one Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We used these in our living room and kitchen. We put three beside each other on each window. Not one of them is exactly like the one beside it, different lenghts, colors not one is the same as the other. Wouldn't u want your blinds to match?
By Kam from Missouri on 03/07/2009 Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Not well designed, not well made.
A plastic plug is held on the wall by a screw and fits into the base of the bracket. So the only thing holding up the rod is the friction. After a couple of days the brackets pulled off the wall.
Also, the finials are too loose to stay on the rod.
Exactly as described and exactly what I By Martha Junior from Mancos, CO on 02/28/2009 Cons: I wish they'd had more Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used them to hang antique afgans on the wall
By catherder from MN on 02/28/2009 Pros: Can be paintedstained, Cat-proof, Easy to clean, Economical Cons: Catches at top valence, Drawcord catches at top, No directions included, Slight color variations Best Uses: Bedroom, Living Room Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These insulate well, but still let air flow. I like that they can be down even if the window is open. I put shades behind them in one room, and curtains over them in another. Both look nice. I like that they come in easily-hoisted sizes for big sectioned windows; it is nice to open some for air flow/shade and leave others down.
They do let a nice amount of light in.
I may paint/stain them, but they look nice as is.
The top where the pull cord meets the valance sometimes catches on the bamboo sticks of the valance. I sized a tiny piece of clear packing tape and put it on the back of the valance, to hold the bamboo sticks together. It is invisible and works great. Clear-drying wood glue would also work.
By freckles from New England on 02/23/2009 Best Uses: Bedroom, Heavy Curtains, Large Windows Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very sturdy rod although I would like to see a slightly more secure way of fastening it to the wall. Other than that it could hold up anything!
Looks great with my swag draperies! By decorator from GA on 02/23/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Bright, Durable, Unique Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Looks great, not too many like it on the market. Just be sure not to pull material through too hard, it will come out of wall. Otherwise, could not be better for the price!!!!
