By guy in maine from Portland, ME on 03/28/2008 Best Uses: Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great to get you to the stream but once there you are better off bare foot. As others have complained the rubber lugs defeat the felt and studs and though they will preserve the bottom of your drift boat they are horrible to wade in anything but sandy bottom stream beds. I will however say that they are adequate when fishing saltwater i.e. ledges and rocks. They require constant attention to placement of feat ensuring that the balls of your feet (where the felt and studs are) make contact with any possibly slippery surfaces. I have since modified mine by cutting about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch off of the rubber lugs and have found that this improves the boot immensely.
By Fish tremble! from Denver on 03/21/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sits high in water, very manueverable, have had one for 6 years, never an issue with leaks. Has 3 bladders, takes a few min. to set up. I usually leave it inflated in the summer time and throw it in the back of my suburban. Looking to buy a new one this year for the wife!
By Alaska Fisherwoman from Alaska on 03/11/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The felt came apart on my first trip, but I needed them, so I drove screws through them to hold them together. That lasted about three more trips. It's a shame b/c they are comfortable, but a big waste of money.

By Harris from Rochester MN on 02/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: On my second pair and I love them. Best winter wading boot I ever owned. Won't pile snow and are not as slippery as felt on muddy banks. Have used them in Montana, New Zealand, and home here in Minnesota with no problems.

By Pete from Bolingbrook, IL on 02/09/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore them about four days fly fishing for steelhead in Michigan streams and the soles started to fall apart. After a few weeks, they disintegrated. Compare that to my last pair that lasted 10 years.

By Al the pike slayer from Kila Montana on 12/14/2007 Pros: Compact, Easy Entry & Exit, Easy To Lift, Good Maneuverability Best Uses: Day Trips, Flat Waters Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like a pontoon boat, I do a lot of travling, so I need somthing "compact", easy to use... these are both compact, and easy to use, but I feel the quality could have been a bit better for the money, ( hard to stow aasy accessible things like tackle, and drinks ) although it is in my oppinion an excellent boat for witch it was intended!
