Not the usual waterskeeter quality By River runner from North Carolina on 11/27/2007 Pros: Compact, Easy to Paddle, Good Maneuverability, Stable Best Uses: Day Trips, Flat Waters, Rivers Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a water skeeter boat already and this boat just didn't live up to the quality of the first. I would be concerned about using this boat on heavy rivers.
Never use these boots in or near water.. By Doug from Durango, Colorado on 11/26/2007 Cons: Poor Grip, Sole fell off first day Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife & I bought these for use in New Zealand as there are lots of rivers where you must walk 3+miles per day. The river bottom is often slippery and the boots DO NOT work in that situation. They are o.k. for hiking. The felt area on one pair fell off the very first day they were used, as the rubber studs disintegrated the first day in use, and the studs are what keeps the felt sole in place. There is not enough felt area to keep from slipping in a river.
Maybe Good for Hiking but Not Wading By Eastern Greenhorn from Richmond,VA on 11/21/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I replaced my felt/studded wading boots w/these & took on 3 day trip on Deschutes River in Central Oregon. I didn't field test them first-big mistake. Boots sounded great but have a design flaw. Felt and studs don't extend below outer sole so no grip. The conditions were borderline hazardous and I fell constantly and went under a few times in 55 degree water. Don't buy if looking for traction in slippery conditions. I provided much amusement to my western hosts.
Great Price, Great Boot!!! I love em! By The Salmon Slayer from Fairbanks, Alaska on 11/08/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had these boots for well over a year. I have never gotten a blister from them yet. They are great for walking distances....I've walked over 3 miles and my feet were in utter bliss. I think that they grip great and offer superior support. The only drawback is I think they run a bit smaller than you order....oh, and a lil more felt would be peachy. Good boot for the price!
By velabella from Santa Fe on 11/07/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: Haven't found a down side Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are comfortable enough to hike in, and very light weight. Haven't spent a lot of time in them yet, but so far have been great.
Great 2 man pontoon boat. By Doug and Wes from San Juan Cap, Ca on 11/05/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Easy To Lift, Easy to Paddle, Good Maneuverability, Stable Best Uses: Day Trips, Flat Waters, Rivers Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got this boat for a trip to Rock Creek Lake. Assembly went well, recomend keeping a pic of it to refer to. Alot of nice features and very stable. My friend and I are big guys, 6'7 tall and weigh aprox 270-280 a piece. Can't say enough about the way it was designed. Only draw back was a basket that had a broken piece on it.Have not tried it as a single yet.The zipper configuration is fantastic. By rmd from Pennsylvania on 11/02/2007 Cons: Poor Grip, Wears Easily Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are the worst boots I ever owned. The grip is terrible, and the durability is aweful. I owned the boots for a year and they need replaced already due to tearing near the toe cap. I would not recommend these boots to anyone except for people who fish from a drift boat only. If you do alot of wading/walking you will be disapointed.
By Cast-a-way from Montana on 10/31/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: sole fell off, Wears Easily Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the sole on one boot came completely off the other is hanging on by a thread. Poor quality? or I just got the ones made friday at 4:55?
By metalhead from tri-cities washington on 10/26/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Lift, Good Maneuverability, Stable Best Uses: Beginners, Rivers Describe Yourself: Beginner, Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the Snohomish for all rivers I love to fish, which include the Skagit river in the spring to the Klickitat in the winter. Whenever unsure situations arise, I feel safe that my pontoon will handle all the rivers I love to fish. Take it from a die hard steelheader!!! Beware, this boat does not come equipped with a 32 oz cooler. The only real con is the rod holder. But who byes a pontoon to fish plugs?
