By Herbie from San Diego on 08/06/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Movement visible in case, Stylish Cons: Orange band limits use Best Uses: Casual chic, Everyday Describe Yourself: Curmudgeon Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This watch uses the ETA 2836-2 calibre movement. ETA controls half of the calibre market. My understanding is that Gevril was launched in 1995.
Something unsaid in the catalog is this watch comes packed in a really nice wood jewerly box.

By scooter from midwest on 05/22/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a beautiful timepiece. Ive had the watch for a year and get compliments all the time. Only con is that if you take it off for the weekend it will stop at about 30 hours so you might want an automatic winder.

By VTskier from Falls Church, VA on 03/25/2008 Pros: Cool box, no battery, Stylish Best Uses: Business casual Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I own several Swiss watches and this was a surprise. It has a clear back so you can see the self winding Swiss engineering. The box it comes in was a shock as it was much nicer than some of the more expensive watches that I own from CH.
Not a Patek, still a good Swiss watch By Guitar John from San Antonio on 03/01/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: High End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect economical watch for those "dress watch" suits and occasions.
A fine example of swiss watch making By cornhusker from Cincinnati, OH on 01/24/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Extremely beautiful, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Cons: Water resistance suspect Best Uses: Everyday, Formal Describe Yourself: Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This watch is a bargain at this price. The band is extremely high quality, The clasp is adjustable. The case is highly polished and beautiful. And the saphire crystal is fantastic. It shipped in one day and came in a beautiful jewelery box. It works very well as a dress watch or as a casual watch. The swiss movement is an ETA-2836-2 and beats at 28,800 vph(very accurate.)It is much more beautiful than the pictures show.
If your wrist is more than 7 3/4 inches you may have a fit problem. Also the water resistance is somewhat suspect. Supposedly 165 ft.;however, the crown is not a screw down crown, and the company literature does not recommend this watch for showering or swimming without a screw down crown.
Otherwise this watch is a beautiful representation of swiss watches, well worth the price. Don't miss this one, folks.
