Wonderful piece of technical gear! By Climbing Laura from Boulder CO on 10/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Great color, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual, Cold Weather, Hiking, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Snow Angels makes some of the best fabric around! This piece is made out of their "doeskin" (synthetic) which has rich color and is just slightly shiny. It's super soft and well made. This zip turtleneck is just the right length - hits just below the hips, doesn't ride up and is long enough to tuck in. The seams are well sewn, not itchy, and it's made to hug your waist. The fabric dries really fast and wicks sweat, but it's stylish enough to wear around town. This is one of the few garments I have that really lives up to its own advertising! I love Snow Angels and would buy from them again and again.

By sayjubilee from Redmond, WA on 10/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Practical, Quality, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The size small fit very snuggly. So I ordered the next size up also. I will wear the small as an under layer and the medium alone. The shirt is very flattering and feminine. Super warm when worn in layers. The material seems very durable.
Beautiful quality turtleneck By ElizVail from Edwards, CO on 09/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Rich color, Stylish Best Uses: Anytime, Cold Weather, Competition, Cycling, Running Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am quite impressed with the quality and appearance of Snow Angel products and am finally figuring out the fit. A lightweight base layer like the ALTERRA fits quite snugly (though comfortable and not biding), probably too much so to wear this thinner fabric as a shirt by itself in your normal size, or unless you buy a larger size than normal. So a small fits me as a base layer, but is too tight and revealing as turtleneck by itself. The advantage is you hardly know it's there under another shirt.
On the other hand, though this ANGEL DOESKIN ZIP is called a base layer it is definitely sized a bit larger, and along with the fabric, which I agree feels and even looks like cashmere, it is lovely worn alone. I bought the red, and it is rich looking and somehow some fabric designer has managed to make a soft slightly stretchy fabric that even has a slight sheen to it. It also has flat seems down each side of the front to make the shirt conform in a flattering way to your chest and torso.
I put it on to try the size and left it on the rest of the day in the cool house, and outside for gardening. It will look great with jeans, or under another layer for skiing, hiking or running on cold days.
I know it will be a favorite basic in my wardrobe and just ordered it in brown and pale blue, also small. I will enjoy this shirt as comfortable as a soft pair of pajamas, yet styled nicely enough to go out for a casual dinner.
REVISING REVIEW!! Fabulous base layer By ElizVail from Edwards, CO on 09/26/2009 Pros: Base layer fit, Comfortable, Flattering, Good Fit, Great Color, Stylish, Versatile, Washes Well Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Skiing running hiking Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Sexy, Trendy Length: Feels true to length Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tried this on one more time before returning it for being too small, and then realized it is sized perfectly as a base layer, not as an outer layer. As a base layer it fits as a comfortable second skin adding warmth without bulk. It does not bind, and the finish does not grab the layer over it. The blue green color with black trim adds lively color to my white, black and red zip turtlenecks that I wear for sports. I would not wear it alone unless I hadn't an ounce extra on my torso. I apologize if I put anyone off from buying this with my negative review. I love wearing it so much, I just bought another in small, the same size in my previous review.
By NEgrl from New England on 09/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great warmer base layer for cold days on the slopes or other under a lightweight jacket on less cold days. The inside is very soft and comfortable. I am 5'8", 145 lbs. and I got the large because I don't like things too fitted. It's a great fit, plenty of room to move. I like that the neck is not too close or restricting.
By ElizVail from Edwards, CO on 09/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Sexy, Trendy Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 2 stars because of fit. I wanted this shirt for cool weather running. I'm 5'6, wear a 34B bra. I consistently wear a small top, with occasional exceptions.
But why, oh why, didn't I pay attention to the reviews. The small in this was at least one, probably two sizes lower. Only a thin, small boned person could get into this shirt. If you fit that description, you will have a pretty shirt at a good price.
I would recommend this to a friend if I knew anyone that small, but I don't think I do. It would probably be better suited to a junior size young teenager.
By btsylynn76 from Portland, OR on 06/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a really nice hoodie. Color is great, feels super soft on skin and looks good on. I would say it is a trim fit though. I am usually a small or medium. I bought a medium and it is rather form fitting. If you plan to wear much under it I would definitely order up a size.
By Allie's Mom from Dayton on 04/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really soft and snuggly to wear, either as a base layer or just a casual shirt. I have a large chest and a small waist and this shirt fits great.
