O'Neill

O'Neill

It was the 1950’s when the icy waters of San Francisco Bay drove inveterate surfer Jack O’Neill to develop the neoprene armor that is the stuff of today’s wetsuits. Several permutations preceded the arrival of neoprene, including WWII frogmen suits lined with long underwear and later, glued-together pieces of closed-cell foam. Having solved the problem of keeping surfers warm with varying thicknesses of neoprene, O'Neill went on to enhance his wetsuit designs with advancements like the Z.E.N. zip closure system, Smoothskin, Super Seal Glideskin, Plasma Knee Pads and Firewall Chest panels. Today O’Neill wetsuits are the protection of choice for surfers and divers on every coast.

Good quality but, since I wear a women's 8, I ordered a men's 6. This is a women's six....very snug so difficult to put on. Wish it were actually available in size indicated.

These booties were perfect for snokeling and I expect to use them diving and surfing. They are very comfortable and can also be used by women by adding a size (ex. 6 mens = 7 womens).

Thanks to previous comments, I understood that these booties are kid sized - even though they say "(For Men)". Sierra, fix this type-o!! I bought them for my 8 year old son. They're great. We live on a river and wade/snorkel/swim quite a bit. All the adults have booties, but my son was the odd man out with swim "shoes". Now I don't have to worry about his swim shoes always coming off. The booties also go great with fins.

Best Uses:
Cayoneering
Describe Yourself:
Casual User
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Length:
Feels true to length
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I used this suit in a canyoneering application. The various mm's allowed reasonable flexibility in and out of water, walking and for technical climbing. However, if you have an athletic, broad upper body, the fit on the top is very tight, and therefore restrictive. For the same reasons as above, the neck line was also EXTREMELY small - 30 mins into the trip I had to cut the neck line. Also, wished the zipper was in the front, like many other Farmer John styles.
