O'Neill

O'Neill

It was the 1950’s when the icy waters of San Francisco Bay drove inveterate surfer Jack O’Neill to develop the neoprene armor that is the stuff of today’s wetsuits. Several permutations preceded the arrival of neoprene, including WWII frogmen suits lined with long underwear and later, glued-together pieces of closed-cell foam. Having solved the problem of keeping surfers warm with varying thicknesses of neoprene, O'Neill went on to enhance his wetsuit designs with advancements like the Z.E.N. zip closure system, Smoothskin, Super Seal Glideskin, Plasma Knee Pads and Firewall Chest panels. Today O’Neill wetsuits are the protection of choice for surfers and divers on every coast.

Good way to extend the outdoor swimming season. A front zipper would be better. The neck band is not very comfortable.

Perfect Sun shirt for a girl who is petite and is tired of the bulky swim shirts cut like a square. I bought the 6 for my daughter who is 6 and she still has room to move, breathe and grow. Graphics add a certain cool factor. I should have bought two!!

I was looking for a long sleeve, but lightweight SPF 50 shirt for my 2 yr old daughter and found everything for girls to be very short-sleeved... but this item is perfect for us. She can wear it anywhere - in or out of the water - it doesn't make her too hot (which in SC is really important) - and it matches everything and keeps her safe from the sun. It saves me the time and hassle of running after her trying to lather her arms and neck with sunblock! I think it might run a bit small or perhaps it is supposed to fit REALLY snug, because she fits the 4T and she's just barely over 2. She still has a little room to grow into it, but I'd suggest considering a size up.

Describe Yourself:
Casual Athlete
Bottom Line:

Comments:
This shirt looks and feels great. I thought it was going to be thicker than it is which was a plus for me. It's more like a rash guard than a wet suit. It looks fantastic with the big O'Neill logo. Very Stretchy, I wear a woman's medium and I bought a small, it fits perfect. Looks like I spent a lot more money than I did, Love it....

Comments:
Use this suit for swimming in colder lake water. Takes some getting use to the more restrictive shoulder range especially when doing freestyle swimming. Does not shave and fits nicely to body contours. Highly recommended item.

Comments:
I bought this rash guard to use at the pool with my kids so I wouldn't end up with a sunburned back. Some of the reviews said it ran very small, so I ordered one size up. The fit seemed right until I got it wet, then I wish I would have ordered my usual size. A rash guard is supposed to have a snug fit so it stays in place better when wet. Also, the rash guard is a little longer than I had expected, maybe because it's designed to be worn with low-slung board shorts instead of over a swim suit. Overall, though, it's quite comfortable and does the job of keeping me protected from the sun. It was a good value for the price.
