Orvis

Orvis

Charles F. Orvis opened a fly-fishing shop in an elegant brick and marble building on the main street of a small town in Vermont. The year was 1856. Today Orvis is a bit bigger, but they still pride themselves on quality products that are steeped in authenticity and desired by discerning customers. Orvis will always be about fly fishing. And it’s also about products that enhance the country lifestyle... like gear and accessories for wing shooting, creature comforts for dogs, and classic apparel for men and women. Orvis says 150 years is a long time to be in business...and a "pretty good start."

Comments:
This is a very simple skirt, modest and basic. It is cut a wee bit more narrow in the hips than I usually like, but I am keeping it because I think it looks nice on me. If you are very curvy, I think this would not fit you well.

By 3 bcs and me from vermont on 10/03/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Easy To Change, Easy To Clean, Soft
Best Uses:
Cool Climate, Everyday Bedding
Describe Yourself:
Midrange Shopper
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Would give five stars but first duvet came with an incomplete seam. Returned it, and second duvet is fine. Barely landed the duvet on the bed and the girls were curled up on top. The cover's weave is tight and sturdy. A brief water test shows water beading on top of the membrane side. I wouldn't expect this to pass a chew test nor would I hesitate to clean fluid spills immediately but within those parameters it should do well.

Good quality but long
By Dry FlyVerified Reviewer from South Bay, CA on 10/01/2008
Best Uses:
Casual Wear
Sizing:
Feels too large

Comments:
Good shirt but long if you do not intend to tuck it in. "Worn-in" does look a little shabby so this probably isn't great for the office. I guess would recommend this to a tall (> 6'3"), casual, friend

Pros:
Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Warm
Cons:

Comments:
I tried the Small but had to return it because I was swimming in it. It's a very nice sweater -- thick, warm, good-looking. But huge. If an XS had been available, I'd have tried that.

This is one beautiful coat! The fabric is so soft and touchable, comfortable, and comforting. I normally take an XL, which I ordered in this coat. It's roomy enough to wear over a sweater. And in mine, the hood is made of the same weight material as the coat (another reviewer had a different experience), so it should be great in cold winds. This coat makes me look forward to winter! All in all, a great coat at a great price. Thanks Sierra!

Comments:
I've only had this coat a couple of weeks and it's already a favorite. I love the faux "distressed leather" look, VERY unusual. The pastel plaid lining adds warmth and style. It's a real attention getter; I've received so many compliments on it. It seems to be beautifully made, which is great since I hope to be wearing it for years. Since it's Orvis, I probably can.
