By joeshmo from Fremont, CA on 09/29/2008 Best Uses: Indoors, Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice booties, but way too large for my yellow lab. Bootie shape didn't seem to fit his paw and leg so they kept slipping off.
By T-Roy from Baja, Mexico on 09/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I attempted to use this as a supplemental rucksack for upland wingshooting. Fell apart on me while in the field. Three zippers dead-in-the-water. Terrible design. Left me stranded with stuff falling out all over the place.
By Limit in 10 from Wyoming on 09/14/2008 Best Uses: Bird Hunting, Warm Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Can't beat this product for the price. I just throw it in the car in case someone shows up with no vest or anything. Makes me look much more organized then I really am.
Sizeable useful pack with some drawbacks By elkhunter from Idaho on 09/14/2008 Pros: Adequate capacity, Good padding, Lighted Cons: Light difficult to use, Noisy zippers, Stiff zippers Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been using this pack for elk hunting for a couple weeks now. I have found it to be adequate in size for all the gear and clothes I take on a day trip. One thing that annoys me is how difficult and noisy the zippers are. Perhaps that will improve with time. With the water bottles it is a bit wider than I like and I find myself brushing the sides quite often when hiking through the thick brush. Also, the included light did not work when I received the pack, but rather than waste time for an exchange I spent a couple bucks and replaced the batteries. The light is poorly designed and was constantly coming on even when the bag was not opened. I removed the little magnet that activates it when you open the bag and now it is manually controlled only. I find this works better and should help the battery life.
Nicely Made but Too Small for Pheasants By TropX from Michigan on 09/10/2008 Pros: Quality Materials, Well-Made Best Uses: Small Upland Birds Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This game belt seems very well-made, but the bird pouch is too small for pheasants--you might get one in there but that's about it. It'd be fine for quail or grouse, and also for dog training or even skeet/trap/sporting clays. I returned it since I need it primarily for pheasant hunting in warmer weather. I wouldn't recommend it for this if you're planning on shooting a lot of birds.
By Alayne from Indiana on 08/12/2008 Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The camo color makes it very hard to find a boot if the dog drops it somewhere on the trail.
How you like it depends on your use By Black Bunny Studios from Lake Elsinore, CA on 08/08/2008 Pros: Mesh back, Open design Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Because camera accessories seem so expensive, I looked for an alternative in other departments. This unit seemed to have the open-mesh design and freedom of movement while carrying a variety of small pieces for my camcorder. When opening the pack and trying it on, it fit perfectly for me: but I am a very small woman--I even increased the length of the buckle straps to the longest position. So I can see that an average-build man would find it too small. I think that when I wear my close fitting "filming" clothes this will be a good aide to keep batteries and other gear near without producing sweat.
