By Phollower from Lafayette, IN on 06/24/2009 Best Uses: Dining room, Kitchen, Living Room Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Napkin holder looks very nice. I needed to tighten up the screws a bit so the posts stayed more securely but nothing major. Much more attractive than the plastic one I had before this.
By Mossback 451 from Sunny California on 06/15/2009 Pros: Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very good reel at a very good price. No problems handling big fish. The only hassle is removing the spool. The spool does not have a release and removal can be a problem.
By Caught Up in Knotz from Cary, NC on 06/08/2009 Pros: Drag is great, Durable, Reliable, Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling Best Uses: EstuaryBay fishing, Fly Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this product for both Salt water Redfish and Steelies in Steelhead alley (September and November trip planned). The reel worked great on the Reds down here in the Carolinas. This drag is so awesome I am gonna get a Lamson to use on Albies. The reel costs me significantly less than others I own and I now see the raves were spot on.
By fly fisherman from Bolton MA. on 06/08/2009 Pros: Durable, Reliable, Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling Cons: Spool different to remove Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a very good quality reel, the spool
changing is a little difficult to get familiar
with, but that is minor the drag is great with
very little start up tension. It will protect
7X tippets easily.
By The Flyfishing Marine from Freeport, Maine on 06/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy Casting, Line Doesn't Tangle, Reliable, Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This an abesolutely awesome reel made even better by the price. I only had one issue and that was changing the drag from left to right handed retrieve. The cap was frozen on and I had to use a padded pair of pliers to remove it. But that is minor considering the quality of this reel. AWESOME!!!! 5 Stars!!!!
