Love this boat and its manueuverablity. Moves right along on still waters with hardly any effort. On a windy day the waves are fun to ride in this kayak and very stable. Would recommend to all paddlers or all levels.

Great boat! First all-around kayak I've purchased. It dumped me once so far but I deserved it! Great in lakes and moderate rivers. Taken down a few fast moving rivers and tough rapids, works good for that too but you have to work harder at staying up! The large opening makes for easy, safe exits and plenty of room for storage.

Comments:
This is a great kayak! We took it out for the first time last weekend and it was a lot of fun. I was surprised how stable it was, even with two small, wiggly boys in it. I felt very secure while I was getting in and out and while paddling. I am so happy with it. I do want to look into getting an addition child seat so that my youngest son doesn't have to sit on the front of my seat. It is heavy to lift and haul but it is a 15' tandem kayak so what should I expect!

my wife and i each have loon 100's. we've owned them for about 10 years now and use them a bunch. never had an overturn i did not deserve. very comfortable for all day use. well made, never a leak even after dragging rock bottoms in the shallows for years. i think this is the best 10' craft for slow moving rivers on the market. runs straight and easy to paddle. i am 5'11" and it fits me like a glove. i stuff a soft pack cooler behind the seat and away we go! deep down, i'm just an old town fan. have a old town canoe, as well. old town seems to do it right/best at whatever they do.

Blem? What blem. Flawless!
By steveVerified Reviewer from Iowa on 04/03/2009
Pros:
Easy in and out, Fairly light, Great for kids, Stable
Cons:
Seats could be softer
Best Uses:
Lakes and Rivers, Perfect for kids
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This is our second (see my other post). Received it and although it states in the listing that it is a "Blem" I couldn't find anything... not even a scratch. We got the Red one, which actually has a black speckle pattern to it. Looks great. Our older model we purchased used for $575. Bought this one new for [$]. These Twin Otter kayaks are fun and easy to paddle. Could probably hold a lot of cargo if solo also.
