Excellent - Couldn't be happier By Paddlin' Chick from Klamath Falls, OR on 03/14/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have now purchased two of these in a large and am thinkng about getting one in the standard. There is not a better deal on planet earth for the quality and the money. It's adjustability allows for larger paddlers. It has some nice bells and whistles like the neoprene rand for added flexiblity, the adjustable stay and the zippered pocket. So far the large fits a Necky Zoar Sport, Necky Kyook and a Prijon Seayak although the standard would probably fit the Seayak better.
By Rodney from Charleston, SC on 03/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Easy to Paddle, Good Maneuverability, Stable Best Uses: Day Trips, Flat Waters, Kayak Camping, Ocean Swells, Rapids, Rivers Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is one of the best kayaks around. Wilderness Systems is a top manufacturer. If you have researched sit-on-top kayaks versus sit-inside kayaks, and you have decided to go with a sit-on-top, then this is the best you can get. By Newby from Plymouth, ma on 03/08/2009 Pros: Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tried it yesterday and it fits my Tampico Hurricane very well. Seems to be well constructed and very waterproof. Unfortunately, I am rather short-wasted (at 5'2") so when I close it up around my waste, it's somewhat convex instead of concave; this results in some pooling of water.
great deal on a nice skirt By Texas Kayaker from Dallas Area on 03/06/2009 Pros: Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Adventure Racing, Backpacking, Paddling Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fits great on a 2008 14' Tsunami and keeps the water out. Looks nice too. This is definitely a really good deal.
By Happy paddler from Colorado Springs, CO on 02/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The dimentions indicated it might fit all of our kayaks, but it only fit one. It's a bit on the small side, but works very well on the one it fits and kept me dry, despite wind and waves.
Perfect drip/sun protection By terramadre from Sierra Nevada on 02/03/2009 Pros: Easy To Attach, Improves Comfort, Rugged Best Uses: Day Trips, Recreational Paddlers, Touring Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have four kayaks with differing keyhole sizes. These easily adjusted to fit each one. Great for keeping the sun and drips off your lap without the bother of a full skirt. No, you won't be able to perform a roll but this is great for flat water paddling.
By Kayak-VA from Woodbridge VA on 02/02/2009 Pros: Nice looking, Strong Material, Waterproof Best Uses: Sea Kayaking, Touring Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a well-made skirt especially for the price. It's attractive and functional, heavy-duty nylon with well-sealed seams, the zipper storage pocket and the neoprene band at the waist for flexibility are nice touches. The tunnel and suspenders may be too roomy for smaller paddlers. I can verify that the standard size fits the Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120/140, and the large size fits the Tsunami 125/145 and also the Necky Manitou. There's only about an inch difference between the two sizes and they don't stretch much, so make sure your cockpit size is similar to these models before ordering.
By Kayaker Brian from Fresno, CA on 02/01/2009 Pros: Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It fit a Wilderness Systems Tsunami 135 perfectly. Nice and snug and good looking. I bought another for my other kayak and at this price and I could only find a cheap nylon one that fit poorly. If you are lucky enough to have a kayak that fits this size, buy it!
By hoochpaddler from Alabama on 01/29/2009 Pros: Strong Material, Tight Closure Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The skirt fit the cockpit of my WS Tempest 170 perfectly. I like the ability to adjust the tunnel depending on the conditions. The pouch is a very handy for keeping small items accessible. I'm very pleased with the purchase.
By Don from Virginia Beach on 01/25/2009 Pros: Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is wonderful! It is my second (and now primary) spray skirt. We live on a small lake and I relish the opportunity to go out and play when the wind kicks up and the water is rough. This skirt fits well, goes on easily (both me and the kayak) and has no low spots where the water pools. Definitely adds to the fun. Seems to be very well made so I expect it to last me for quite a while. And, it was a bargain! (Saw what my wife paid for it!)
