Thom and Mary Ellen Vernon began selling Fresh Produce at the 1984 Summer Olympics. No, they weren't serving Olympic visitors a healthy lunch, just offering up a collection of cool custom T-shirts and colorful resort wear that ultimately found a “fresh” niche in the world of casual fashion.
