Awesome casual/commuter helmet By Dan S from Minneapolis on 10/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Headphone Compatible, Lightweight, Protective, Stylish Cons: Bulky, Not Well Ventilated Best Uses: Commuting, Park, Riding around, Skiing, Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fit system is much better than comparable skate-style helmets like the Bell Faction, there is an adjustable strap at the back in the Brentwood.
The visor is remove-able and can be replaced with the included pad.
All the local shop people say Bern is going to release a winter kit for this helmet?

By Safety first mom from Central Finland on 09/22/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Best Uses: Cold-weather riding, Everyday riding, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this helmet for my son, age 3, who also just got his first 12" bike. I'd hardly call it serious bike riding, but it does get pretty cold here, and it looks like he'll be riding it all fall. I haven't tried it on with a knit hat on yet. It's difficult to get his comments about the quality or ventilation, but he seems to like it. I mean, he'll wear it without complaining.

It has great protection. I competed in a rail competition and hit my head on a rail, denting the helmet. I was knocked out but this helmet saved me from a concussion. I would highly recommend it. I am going to get another to replace the one I dented.
