The material is not my favorite - it doesn't breathe well, and I find it a bit scratchy compared to leather. But the soles are cushy and the shoes are comfy. You should definitely order a 1/2 size up, per the website's recommendation. I did find the color of the pattern to be more of a dark brown than black.

Great with jeans & capris. They were comfortable the first time I wore them and continue to be so. I wouldn't wear them for any lengthy walking as they don't have the support or cushioning but they're great casual shoes.

I must have feet too wide to wear them because the shoe rubbed on the outside of the joint of my big toe. This shoe is probably OK for women with narrower feet.

The only thing is if they have even a slightly pointy toe then you have to go half a size larger. They are so comfortable! I'm a teacher, on my feet all day, and these are some of my best shoes for the job!
