By Dr. Fog DPT from Long Beach, CA on 10/31/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lamp works great. The lowest setting is really bright and you get almost 30 hours of use on 3AA batteries. Fits great and fully adjustable. Images shared by: Dr. Fog DPTHiking Mt. Whitney Tags: Using Product

By BobKid from North Texas on 10/09/2009 Pros: Good size for daily carry, Very bright Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Knife is well-sized to fit in many pockets without looking too intimidating to those around you. Carries an edge well with only infrequent honing required. Easy to close with one hand once you get used to CRKT's blade lock design. Light is very bright and is a solid and rugged utility light for occasional use. Good value together as a package.
decent quality for the price By jigglypuff from WI on 09/21/2009 Best Uses: Camping, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: overall, a nice knife and flashlight. the battery life is pretty poor and the knife is kind of a pain to close, but i would still recommend them, for that price.
By Hiker Chick from Cambridge, MA on 09/06/2009 Cons: Can't aim beam angle Best Uses: Home use or kids Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this light as an emergency carry headlamp for backpacking and day hiking. However, several design flaws added to up my returning it and buying another one of the Princeton lights instead. The first, and fatal, flaw was that the headlamp's vertical angle is not adjustable, it is fixed-- a serious problem when the angle of the trail ahead of you is not fixed! The headband also does not continue behind the lamp's body, leaving a rubber square back pressed up against your forehead. I think this would be very uncomfortable when hiking (or sweating) for a long time. The lamp's battery compartment is only covered by the rubber back, which is very easy to get open. I guess this could be a positive or a negative, depending on your intended use. Lastly, the push-button switch was of a type that I was concerned could get pushed on inside a pack, draining the batteries. The case style is also kind of boxy. I returned it. I can imagine it might be a good "easy" headlamp for kids in the backyard or similar, but that's about it.
Buyer Beware: N Batteries By dayhike79 from Whidbey Island, WA on 09/06/2009 Pros: LED System, Pelican Warranty Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This light takes hard-to-find, size N batteries. The last thing that I need to purchase and carry around is another size/type of battery. If Pelican changed this product to accept size AAA, I'd give the product five stars.
I own five other Pelican brand lights, and several cases. They make excellent products, they just can't seem to get the battery situation right.

By usa350 from Redding Ca on 08/04/2009 Best Uses: Boating water skiing tubi Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a big well constructed sealed seamed bag. Much better than most dry bags as everything I need is always at the bottom with the other bags. Body glove did a great job with this one.
Can't go wrong with this headlamp. By Ulysses the Great from Los Angeles, CA on 07/26/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking, Home Use Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although a bit bulky in comparison to other head lamps, it was comfortable, and lit well. Took two of these on a camping trip to Yosemite and they were very convenient. The elastic band was very easy to adjust, so that my 6 yr old can use it and then re-adjust it himself when passing it on to my 11 yr old. They were also pretty durable, as my kids dropped them a couple of times, without damaging them. They may be too bulky for backpacking, but perfect for car camping and around the house.
