By everyday Dad. from Chicago,IL on 07/07/2009 Pros: Durable, Finish, Safe construction, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: quality all the way around for great savings. flashlight has great illumination in the darkest enviroment. not intended for longtime use. knife is easy to open and close once you follow instructions and has a sharp blade. its only downside is that it is a little too small for a person with large hands.
Read this before ordering By Cook not Athlete from San Francisco on 07/03/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am going to return the two Pelican MityLites that arrived today for the following reasons (which I'm sorely disappointed your print and online descriptions neglected to mention):
1. Neither my husband, who is strong, dexterous, and highly competent, nor I, who am less so, was able to turn the light on or off without turning it upside down and pushing against a hard surface.
2. The frightening business about hydrogen and all the steps required to keep what should be a simple, everyday, no-care item turn this into a source of anxiety rather than convenience, particularly in earthquake-prone areas such as ours.
By Roller1 from Billings, MT on 06/05/2009 Best Uses: Camping, Hunting Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Both are quality products. Someone else said the knife was hard to close. You have to pull back the safety before pushing over the blade lock. It does take two hands to close, but I don't find it difficult. The flashlight is very bright and fits in my hand well. Well constructed with an O-ring seal. Seal seems very positive & tight. Switch is on the base. Can't beat this combo for the money.

You can't destroy this thing By navyhill from Guam, USA on 05/27/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Outstanding case just to use for luggage. I've recently did an extended trip to the Philippines and after multiple flights to numerous provinces the suitcase didn't have a bit of damage. The rest of my luggage did not fare as well.

The knife is great but way to hard to close. For the price, can't beat this set.
