Excellent and feels so so cozy By Lab Lover from Central Ohio on 02/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable For Pet, Soft, Thick Best Uses: Indoors, Large Pets Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Buster, our lazy yellow lab, loves it. Our house is drafty and I feel so much better that he's not right on the drafty floor. It's made well, is very fluffy. I run the sweeper right over it to help take care of the hair build up. Have had no problems.
By sasha3731 from Smithville, TX on 02/02/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Safe, Secure Best Uses: Auto Travel, Home Safety, Training Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great kennel. My dog is around 30 lbs. and she fits well. It was easy to assemble and will be easy to knock down for travel. It can easily store folded under your bed.
a fine travel crate, & good savings By carey from donegal PA on 02/02/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight Best Uses: Auto Travel, Home Safety Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the reviews on this crate carefully as one reviewer thought it was 'unsafe.' in fact, there is an opening at the bottom where one can remove the plastic tray. the opening is large enough so that a paw can get thru. we solved the problem with the thick comfy pad that we install in all our crates. with the pad tied in place, there is no room for a paw to get under the door. we are completely satisfied with the Med crate , and use it along with the 'large' for our 2 dogs.
By BJ from Portland OR on 02/01/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Effective, Safe, Secure Best Uses: Home Safety, Temporary Cat Shelters Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have purchased four of these crates to corral my cats so they will be in one central location for a petsitter's initial visit. They are roomy (litter boxes, food and water bowls fit nicely) and secure enough that the cats can remain relatively content for several days at a time. My petsitter won't have to search for them all over the house!

Unbelievable value and good design By Lori from Tacoma, WA on 01/18/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Nice speckled finish, Safe, Secure Best Uses: Auto Travel, Easy to store, Home Safety, Large Dogs, Training Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We bought this as a second crate to keep at our vacation home and were amazed at the quality when it arrived. Our old one that we paid twice as much for isn't anywhere near the quality of this Petmate crate. It's very easy to set up and fold down and fits a Standard Poodle in with no problem. I really like the small feeding door and the door on the top is good for ease when cleaning. The black and silver speckled finish is nice too. I'm ordering another for a friend.
By AAF from Seattle WA on 01/13/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I definitely agree with one of the previous reviewers that found the design to be unsafe. THere is room for a paw to get caught between the bottom and the side in the corner areas at least. I am using the crate in my car where the pup is attended nearly all the time. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving a dog unattended for a significant period due to the design flaw. Otherwise it has some good features that attracted me to begin with--rounded corners, taller than your average crate of size, so it is more comfortable for a dog that is right at the size limit for the crate.
By Jo from Philly, PA on 01/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy to Clean, Spacious Best Uses: Short Trips, Smaller Pets Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had purchased this pet carrier some years ago and was enticed to purchasing a fresher one through Sierra Trading, due to its great sale price.[...] It arrived damaged with a large enough hole to make it less attractive and not "new" but not enough so that I would have to return it. By Kevin from Austin, Texas on 01/09/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Safe, Works Well Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the hitch step for getting access to my roofrack and snowboards from the back of the vehicle. Since they are both getting older, thought that both my dogs would make use of it on my roadtrip to Vancouver this year, . They try to completely avoid it instead by jumping over it. I've only had it for a month so maybe time and training will allow them to take advantage of it. It works great for me, but not for my pets. I got it because it was such an amazing deal at[$]after various coupons and discounts.

Excellent value.
