Big surprise in a small package By Traveler from New Jersey on 12/03/2007 Pros: Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses Best Uses: Bird Watching, Hiking Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have 8x30 binoculars that weigh 22 oz. and I wanted something light for hiking in Alaska for next year. I did a lot of research and came up with Steiner for excellent price (I got them [...] at a very big discount). I was really surprise how good fully coated multicoated lenses are. I did side-by-side comparison of my larger old ones and the new 8x24 - new pair won hands down. And they are so small you can put in your shirt pocket.

By Duck Hunter from Milan, IL on 10/05/2007 Pros: Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Best Uses: Hunting, Sporting Events Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are by far the best binoculars I have owned. The auto focus is great for hunting. No more fumbling to focus on moving game. I hunt waterfowl and the thing I always hated with conventional binoculars was keeping focus on moving birds. With the auto focus problem solved. I would recommend these to anyone who looks at moving objects through binoculars.
