By Bob from USA on 05/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Interesting product however I'm not sure what need is met. When the attached pack is stowed inside the sling pack (shown in the product photos)there is very little room for anything else. Manufacture quality is very high.
a very nice carryon/overnight bag By Mick23 from Baltimore,MD on 04/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife and I each purchased one of these bags for a trip to England/France. It worked very well as a carryon bag with room for a change of clothing and essentials in the event of lost luggage (fortunately not a problem on this trip). There was room for boarding passes, a book or two and a place to carry a drink. We have since used it for overnight trips--just the right size for clothing/toiletries and reading materials for a short trip. Not too big or bulky, nice design attractive styling, and good-sized access through main opening. Nicely designed shoulder strap also--tapered to fit and relatively non-slip surface to stay on your shoulder. Only criticism was that the snap designed to hold bag to handle of rolling luggage didn't always stay securely fastened.
By Nightripper from NYC on 03/31/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice small size bag with 3 side zipper and straps inside, side zipper with mesh zippered pocket and open pockets inside, other side small zippered pocket. Handle and shoulder strap. Fabric is a bit rough feel. Could be nice for easy carry night/day trips.

By Nikonman from Mundelein, IL on 02/09/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, High Quality Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: While I like the overall design of the bag, I wish that they designed it slightly larger to squeeze out just a bit more capacity. I think another 2" in length would have done it!
By puppydog from seattle on 01/11/2009 Pros: Good Strap Length, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The duffle unfolds to quite a large capacity. There isn't an awful lot of space in the bag when it's folded, however. A nice gadget, but will probably end up tucked away in a suitcase as an extra bag rather than carried around as a day bag.
By Camper-girl, the latest in superheroes! from Covina, CA on 12/20/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this bag for upcoming trip to Mexico. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It isn't too big or too small. I can fit a change of clothes and other carry-on needs without worrying if it can handle the load. I now have 6 Rick Steves bags, including rolling suitcases and the backpack convertible bag. I am rough on my bags (as is the airport I'm certain) and they all have held up well!!! The only reason I have so many is that I have bought different colors to match my travel apparel and/or destination needs.
Great as my rolling briefcase! By Barb, P.T. from Richmond, Va on 11/25/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Rolling briefcase Describe Yourself: Career, Comfort-Oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a traveling therapist but did not want a black rolling briefcase. This bag is stylish and I have everything I need with me in one rolling unit. I'm no longer toting multiple bags back and forth. It holds my planning notebook and several portfolios in the back compartment. A letter size accordian file box fits nicely in the front to hold individual students records so they are easily accessible. I added a second smaller Avanti bag on top to hold all my misc small treatment supplies (including my videocamera). I used the Avanti guidebook holder for all my pencils, pens, desk supplies, etc. It tucks in between both bags and the entire unit stands independently.
