Durable bag withstands harsh conditions! By Kate the Professor from Cincinnati, OH on 06/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Large capacity, Versatile, Very adjustable Best Uses: Caving, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag was extremely sturdy and durable; it withstood a long week of intensive caving in which my husband was crawling, pushing, throwing, and dragging the bag. Zippers held up; bag material did not fray and showed no signs of tears or rips despite rocky conditions. This was used as a bag to carry supplies into the cave: lunch, over a half-gallon of water, first aid kit, batteries, flashlights, etc. Only complaint would be the lack of adjustability on the messenger bag strap feature in that the padding did not move around one's body as one might like (but again, hubby was using this for an odd purpose). It was comfortable as a backpack and as a messenger bag in normal standing positions and most of the time while caving. Highly recommend for good all-purpose bag.
By Ben from Boston, MA on 06/14/2008 Cons: Won't fit overhead, Won't fit under seat Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I took this bag on a round-trip Delta itinerary. The bag would not fit under the plane seat and it would not fit in the overhead compartment, because it is 10" deep. I had to partially empty the bag and hold the contents on my lap for the flight, in order to stuff it partially under the seat.
