Truth in advertising..you gotta love it! By Jim the farmer/home inspector from Lake Como, PA on 10/22/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Home Inspection, Work around the farm Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife and I use the headlamp for early morning and evening work on our hobby farm, and also for our profession as home inspectors. The bright directional beam and the proximity lighting both come in handy.
Great light - especially for the price. By Phlyphish from Orem, UT on 10/22/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great light for the price. Yes, there are better lights out there and you're welcome to pay for them. But you won't find a better light without paying at least double what I paid for this. I paid less than half its retail price and bought three of them.
my son-in-law asked for this for xmas By cbu from meriden,ct on 10/21/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: he wants to use it to tinker with his computer
By surfstar from santa barbara, ca on 10/20/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Long battery life Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great lamp for the price. Battery life should be good (according to specs). Adjustable brightness and aim. I only wish that it would remember your brightness setting - I usually use the dimmest mode for around camp stuff or reading and each time you turn it on, you have to press the button 3 times to get to that mode.
By Greased Lightening from Ann Arbor, MI on 10/19/2009 Pros: Bright, Long battery life Best Uses: Backpacking, Bicycling late at night, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had a headlamp but lost it, so this is a replacement. I am impressed so far with the strength of the beam. It is small enough to fit under my bicycle helmet and lead the way at night. The one thing I wish it had was an additional strap that went up and over the top of my head, making it more secure, but the price was right!
Good headlamp with only a small problem By Gramps from Monterey, CA on 10/19/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great light, very bright and seems to have a long battery life. It is easily adjustable and was handy while hiking in the dark. My only complaint is it's hard to turn on sometimes, especially when it's on your head. The power button is sealed in rubber and one must push exactly in the center to turn it on. Kinda hard if you have big fingers.
Needed two more for family By Practical mom from Palo Alto, CA on 10/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got this to add to the two that we already have. We've have recurring blackouts so our family of four can use extra headlamps. Found this one to be bright and durable, but I had trouble figuring out how to open it to put in the batteries. Guess that's the trade-off for its waterproof feature. Also, the button is difficult to push to change modes. Again a button instead of slide switch helps to keep it waterproof. The price is right!
By Dancer from CA on 10/18/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm very happy with this headlamp. It's brighter than I expected and provides more than enough light for campsite chores.

It's great for those times you need both hands to work with, but the light is poor.
By Vel from Singapore on 10/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The button gets harder to press and switching it off became a hassle. Use it only as a backup light.
